Shout out to the old me
And everything he showed me
Glad you didn’t listen when the world was trying to slow me
No one could control me
Left my lovers lonely
Had to fuck it up before I really got to know me
Never a night alone
Anywhere you wanna go
Woke up in the morning wearing someone else’s clothes
Pictures in my phone
With people I don’t know
Woke up in the morning how the hell’d I make it home
And they wondered how long I could keep it up
While I wondered if I’d ever, if I’d ever get enough
And I did some shit I never should have done
I would do over now, I’d do it over
Shout out to the old me
And everything you showed me
Glad you didn’t listen when the world was trying to slow me
No one could control me
Left my lovers lonely
Had to fuck it up before I really got to know me
All of the mistakes I made
Whatever the price I paid
Shout out to the old me
And everything he showed me
Had to fuck it up before I let you get to know me
Another round here we go
Going in blow for blow
Look into the mirror take the punches that I throw
I’m constantly reminded of all the compromises by the people from my past who have a hard time letting go
And they wondered how long I could keep it up
While I wondered if I’d ever, if I’d ever get enough
And I did some shit I never should have done
I would do it over now, I’d do it over
Shout out to the old me
And everything you showed me
Glad you didn’t listen when the world was trying to slow me
No one could control me
Left my lovers lonely
Had to fuck it up before I really got to know me
All of the mistakes I made
Whatever the price I paid
Shout out to the old me
And everything he showed me
Had to fuck it up before I let you get to know me
Devil at my door
Got me knockin’ knockin’ knockin’ on the other side
Ashes on the floor
But I’m walkin’ walkin’ walkin’ outta here alive
Shout out to the old me
And everything you showed me
Glad you didn’t listen when the world was trying to slow me
No one could control me
Left my lovers lonely
Had to fuck it up before I really got to know me
All of the mistakes I made
Whatever the price I paid
Shout out to the old me
And everything he showed me
Had to fuck it up before I let you get to know me

Lyrics for Alicia Keys Underdog
VERSE 1
She was walking in the street
Looked up and noticed
He was nameless
He was homeless
She asked him his name and
Told him what hers was
He gave her a story
About life
With a glint in his eye
And a corner of a smile
One conversation
A simple moment
The things that change us
If we notice
When we look up sometimes
B SECTION
They said I would never make it
But I was built to break the mold
The only dream that I been chasing
Is my own
HOOK
So I sing a song for the hustlers
Trading at the bus stop
Single mothers
Waiting on a check to come
Young teachers
Student doctors
Sons on the front line
Knowing they don’t get to run
This goes out to the Underdog
Keep on keeping at what you love
You’ll find that someday soon enough
You will rise up rise up yeah
VERSE 2
She’s riding in a taxi
Back to the kitchen
Talking to the driver
‘Bout his wife and his
Children
On the run from a country
Where they put you in
Prison
For being a woman
And speaking your mind
She looked in his eyes
In the mirror and he smiled
One conversation
A single moment
The things that change us
If we notice
When we look up
Sometimes
B SECTION
They said I would never make it
But I was built to break the mold
The only dream that I been chasing
Is my own
HOOK
So I sing a song for the hustlers
Trading at the bus stop
Single mothers
Waiting on a check to come
Young teachers
Student doctors
Sons on the front line
Knowing they don’t get to run
This goes out to the Underdog
Keep on keeping at what you love
You’ll find that someday soon enough
You will rise up rise up yeah
BREAK
Everybody Rise Up
You better Rise Up
HOOK
So I sing a song for the hustlers
Trading at the bus stop
Single mothers
Waiting on a check to come
Young teachers
Student doctors
Sons on the front line
Knowing they don’t get to run
This goes out to the Underdog
Keep on keeping at what you love

Lyrics for "God Only Knows" by for KING & COUNTRY and Dolly Parton
Wide awake while the world is sound asleepin' Too afraid of what might show up while you're dreamin' Nobody, nobody, nobody sees you Nobody, nobody, nobody would believe you Every day you try to pick up all the pieces All the memories, they somehow never leave you Nobody, nobody, nobody sees you Nobody, nobody, nobody would believe you God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows how it's killing you But there's a kind of love that God only knows God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows the real you There's a kind of love that God only knows There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love You keep a cover over every single secret So afraid if someone saw them they would leave But somebody, somebody, somebody sees you Somebody, somebody will never leave you God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows how it's killing you But there's a kind of love that God only knows God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows the real you There's a kind of love that God only knows There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love For the lonely, for the ashamed The misunderstood, and the ones to blame What if we could start over We could start over We could start over Oh for the lonely, for the ashamed The misunderstood, and the ones to blame What if we could start over We could start over We could start over 'Cause there's a kind of love that God only knows God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows the real you But there's a kind of love that God only knows God only knows what you've been through God only knows what they say about you God only knows the real you There's a kind of love that God only knows There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love There's a kind of love that There's a kind of love God only knows where to find you God only knows how to break through God only knows the real you There's a kind of love that God only knows
