Music Television is pleased to present Gaby Moreno, the fabulous international recording artist and the Latin Grammy winner in the Best New Artist category, Gaby Moreno. At the time of this writing, she has a new album titled Ilúsion coming out soon. She is performing two "Ilúsion Record Preview" shows, one at Resident in Los Angeles on June 14th 2016 (click here for tickets), and another in New York at Joe's Pub on June 16th, 2016 (click here for tickets). Don't let the Latin Grammy win pigeonhole her as a strictly Latin artist. She has a very broad English and Spanish repertoire that crosses genres and eras. She is a wonderful blues, rock and soul artist.

Whilst none of the new material from the Ilúsion album has been released as of yet, just below are some handpicked videos and live performances from previous years.

Jazmine Sullivan - Fear

Got a two hour massage and the therapist tried to play smooth jazz off of Pandora. I said "no thanks, can't stand elevator music or Muzak. Please punch in some music similar to Nneka". Nneka's track entitled The Uncomfortable Truth starts off the 2 hour set and after about 12 songs, up comes this song that stopped the session so the therapist could go look on the Pandora page to tell me what song was playing. This is it! A favorite song of mine from very first play. Dug up this unofficial video cut by a fan, for the artist, Jazmine Sullivan, has yet to cut an official video.

And.... this song came on not long after Jazmine's song and stopped the massage once again to find out who it was. Was surprised to find it another great song by Adele of her album titled 19. I'd actually heard seen the official video once before, but the version we heard was a live one from a iTunes hosted "Live From Soho" performance. It sounded much different than the studio version from the record.

In digging for a live version of Chasing Pavements, found this tasty live recording of Adele on the Tiny Desk Concert hosted by NPR where she performs three songs. She just sits, with no pomp or circumstance and simply deliver the goods with perfection. The first song, Someone Like You, seems like she lived through each line. She feels it. And, really love the second song, Chasing Pavements :) - And, Rolling in the Deep.... If you don't know that song, you must have been living in the forest without electricity last for the last year and a half.

Gaby Moreno - Three great Illustrated Songs, live.

Music Television is very proud to once again present the fabulous singer, songwriter and recording artist, Gaby Moreno.

She plays in everything from full blown electric bands with real horns and strings all the way down to keeping it simple, unplugged and acoustic. She jumps from from English to Spanish songs as she crosses multiple genres with grace and style. No the matter the occasion, she matches it with impeccable versatility.

Below is a very tasty Gaby Moreno performances from a 2011 appearance on NPR Music's Tiny Desk Concert with her friend Adam Levy sitting in on guitar & background vocals with perfection. They perform three of Gaby's originals from her album titled Illustrated Songs.

Each of the three songs are a captivating treat. The final of the three is titled Sing Me Life which is sort of a call to arms to not let outside powers rule ones world. It's terrific down the the last note. The studio version is a worthy listen as is the entire Illustrated Songs album.

***Gaby Moreno update: Since this video/story was originally posted in August of 2011, Gaby transcended beyond "indie" status when she was signed to Metamorfosis‎ Records in March of 2012. In November, 2013, Gaby won the Latin Grammy in the category for Best New Artist.
