Jackie Bristow was recently the opening act in New Zealand for Bonnie Raitt
This is a tasty filmed live performance by the independent New Zealand recording artist named Jackie Bristow and her original song titled Whistle Blowin'. The song sounds like a real country hit in the old-school sense. There is strength, depth and a certain stillness that comes from artists like this one who have so diligently honed their craft.

Here is a song that is a little bit like a nursery rhyme and a lot like a dream. A emerging independent artist named Samantha Preis created a eerily captivating original song titled Lost For Me. Her voice is so sensitive and fragile sounding, filled with emotions of memories as if it's "the end" or something as deep. It is a stellar delivery of a song that I prefer to hear turned up before simply closing my eyes to lay back and listen. But the video and the artist is beautiful to look at too. It appears that this may be her first real music video. If you are like me, you will listen and watch this more than once and it may grow on you. For all music supervisors tuning in, consider this as a soundtrack for the right feature film.

Sony Music's hard working and growing Danish recording artist known as MØ and her infectious song named Final Song still has legs after it's summer debut on her second studio album. The video was shot in the California Desert National Conservation Area. Produced by Hugo Peers, the video was directedbyTomasWhitmore and director of photography, Nicholas "Niko" Wiesnet.
We previously featured an outstanding music video to a tasty song titled Fool To Love by a mixed genre female artist known as Nao. Her debut album titled For All We Know was released on July 29 along with her second music video titled Girlfriend which was released August 1. The song is one that you may want to lay back and listen to with your eyes closed more times than you watch this video. It will take your mind places. The song is a dandy soul opera worth repeating.
Last month on our sister site, TheIndies.Com, we featured an audio only recording of a Rosa Pullman song titled Daydreaming. I referred to her as "a real deal indie girl musician, songwriter and soul sister". That's exactly what she is!

Tonight I was walking down the street and heard a very beautiful and soulful voice and a piano emanating from an outdoor restaurant and just had to walk in to figure out who it was.
Her name is Alex Nester. When I got home I looked her up. I learned that, besides the fact that she has been honing her craft and paying her musical dues for quite a while, at age 16 she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma, but overcame it all and is now cancer free.
The song I heard tonight that brought me in off the street was one that sounds like it was just meant for Joss Stone to cover. Ms. Nester said it had not been recorded, yet.
As I was browsing through her websites looking for a music video to feature here, I couldn't help but laugh when I saw her "No Auto-Tune" logo posted on much of her promotional material.
I found this song below that is obviously sung from the heart of a girl who overcame what was most likely assumed an early death. Kudos to you, Alex Nester, for staying in the game and keeping it 100% organic.
